Tretorn
shoes are designed and manufactured according to a simple
philosophy - function over form and quality over style. This is
probably the reason why Tretorn sneakers tend to have a rather
classic, utilitarian look. However, beneath all that down-to-earth
simplicity is a century-long devotion to technological innovation
and commitment to quality by a company known for their expertise
in rubber-made products.
Established in 1891 by Henry Dunker in Helsinborg, Sweden, Tretorn
has been a leading innovator in rubber boots, tennis sneakers and
tennis balls. Amongst the most recognizable Tretorn sneakers over
the years have been the Tretorn Canvas sneakers and Tretorn
Leather Nylites, which were all the rage among college kids in the
1980's.
Since becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary of PUMA in 2001, Tretorn
has launched the Tretorn Gullwing footwear collection, which
consists of a line of classic rubber boots and performance tennis
shoes for men and women.
